Architecturally designed to complement its surrounding environment, and enhanced by magnificent landscaping, the AICC occupies a land area of approximately 7 hectares and is centrally located on the South (Garki) end of Herbert Macaulay Way in the commercial heart of the FCC, about 40 KM (approx. 25 miles) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and within a 5 KM radius of the major hotels in Abuja.

The facility serves as a dynamic venue for international trade discussions, business meetings, and social occasions and offers luxury, intimacy, refined dining, meeting and event space.



CALL FOR PAPERS
The ApiExpo Africa 2018 will take place from 25th to 29th September 2018 at Abuja International Conference Centre in Nigeria under the theme “Beekeeping Industry for Sustainable Development, Wealth Creation and Economic Diversification”.

 The event comprises of several events which include conferences, Exhibitions, B2B meetings, training workshops and educational/technical tours taking place at and around the same venue. The event will bring together over 5000 delegates and exhibitors from Africa, Middle East, Europe, USA and other parts of the world. The participants will exhibit services and products pertinent to the Apiculture Value Chain including honey, wax and other bee products, inputs and technologies. The Conference will bring together diverse national, regional, continental and global level researchers, policy makers, honey trade support networks (private, public, NGOs), development partners, international media, and other stakeholders on a single platform to discuss and share knowledge on trade and business related approaches and promote apiculture and how it relates to economic empowerment of the African people. Special B2B meetings will also be conducted to address marketing issues relating to commercial transactions and regulations in the honey bee industry at local, national, regional and international levels. There will also be several training workshops to empower the participants with practical skills of how to add value to different bee products, especially at cottage level.

The organizers of ApiExpo Africa 2018 would like to call upon all interested institutions, organizations and individuals to present papers pertinent to the apiculture industry and the aforementioned theme of the event. There are three types of papers:

Technical Papers: These papers are prepared around the thematic areas as given in the guidelines.  They can be presented by any competent participant.
Poster Papers: These papers are prepared around the thematic areas as given in the specific guidelines.  They are mainly based on research.
Situation Papers: These papers are reserved for representatives of National Governments and / or National Umbrella Organisations which promote apiculture in Africa.  They provide national perspectives of apiculture development in their respective countries.  The papers are intended to inform and stimulate discussions on policy related and programmatic interventions in beekeeping among African countries.

Deadline for submission: June 30th 2018 at 5:00 pm Local Time (Nigeria).
