Inorder to be develop, a country must have a working agricultural System that is able to provide the required food Product for it initial and growing population.
In developed Nations such as the USA, UK, China, Spain, etc, there is always a system in play/road map that is meant to look into the agricultural sector, guiding its policies creation to empower and enable the farming/Ranching population achieve optimum production capacity.
Some of these policies have lead to the use of modernize system of agricultural practices such as farm mechanization, farm power such as the solar panel power, windmill, etc, use of hybrid crops & animals, use of machnaries such as the milking machine, harvester, Ridger, irriagation system, fenching, Tagging, Branding, Tracking etc.
In developed countries, it is required that all individuals, company, or business should have a defined physical boundry(fence) of their properties and structures to avoid encroachment on properties, confusion & conflicts. This also apply to Agriculture and it practices.
Farmers who have farmland and grows their crops are advice to practice fencing to restrict access of farmland & secure the food or cash crops from individuals or animals that will do it harm or consume them unneccessary. Also notice are meant to be placed on the fence warning individuals not to cross into farmland or bear the consequences.
Animal husbandry specialist or Ranchers who rear animals like cattle, Sheep, Ram, Goat, Pig, Grasscutters, etc, that are herbivoures and would do harm to farmland, have to restrict the herds to the grazing land or Barn using fences. Also all animals are require to either be tag or bear the brand of their owners, for easy identification.
In most developed countries it has gotten to the stage where by the plant is supplied water direct to their root and the water is regulated such as the drip irrigation system used in Isreal this is very useful when the water source isn't enought to go arround. while in Animal husbandry, the herds of cattle, sheep, ram, goat, pig or grasscutter are restricted to barn and grasses and water are brought to them each animal have its own pen in the barn house.
Some of these practices though costly are very effective in helping develop countries meet their much needed production capacity, it also help in preventing some minor conflict such as "farmer herders" clashes as a result of farm animal encroaching on farmland & stealing animal(animal rustling).
Another modernized practise that help in farming is the use of mechanized farming to cultivate more land and produce more. Most of these equipment maybe too costly for the farmers to get on their own and will require the help of Government agencies to acquire them if possible produce these product.
Indeveloping countries, Animal rustling is very common as people try to acquire what they havent help produce. The best way to check this is to make sure all owners of animals have their stock, tag, branded with their symbol or are under tracking. Use of a Tracking device is the most modern method of securing your animals it is cheap and much more accurate in ensuring animal rustler are caught.
The only way these can work in developing countries is if their Federal and State Agricultural agencies put these features into laws and policies and enforce it. Till these are done there will still little hope of these developing countries meeting the Food production needs of their countries.
There canc be no developed country if the do not have a developed agricultural system so as an Agriculturist away make the strive for innovation & modernization of Agricultural Practices.
